Heya, the name is Eli Jenkins. I am a writer, if you like reading then I would definitely suggest reading my blog. jenkinswritings.wordpress.com/
Unfortunately I have been busy but I am starting to get into the groove again. In fact I signed up on here ages ago when Amber made the forums but could not post at the time. Coming back, I am absolutely delighted by the new design and excited to actually participate.
Here are some things about myself, and later I will talk about my writing. I am in my early 20's, living between Florida and Massachusetts. Cooking is definitely not my thing so I try to stay away from doing that. The word "microwave" probably is the only word in my vocabulary related to cooking. So don't expect any cook book from me (unless you seriously expect to have food poisoning). Anyways I love taking photographs of nature... not including spiders (they're monsters!). You can definitely call me an animal lover. Every morning two small dogs jump on me crying until I pet them. If I stop, they cry and scratch me until I pet them again. It really is exhausting to love animals though but they are so adorable! What you don't want to know about me is that I have O.C.D. and I definitely have my lows (but everyone has their lows but for some reason people don't like admitting it).
I write about the highs and the lows of life: musings, hope, sorrow, hysteria, power, and playfulness.
Mirror breathes all the emotions of abandonment and self-loathing. Rick, the protagonist, peers into his own life telling about those moments as to why he cannot save himself from dying.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Elliot's Playground contrives a lighted-hearten storyline. As a 7 year old, Elliot loves pulling pranks and jokes on his family. Get ready to roll your eyes like the narrator, Elliot's father.
If you are more of a poetry nerd check out Softly Sullen, a continuous haiku story. The current link will bring you to the current post on Wordpress, 20 completed stanzas out of 30. I will update this when I post the final stanza. It's about a couple trying to make a relationship work.
I mostly post poems on Tumblr though. So check them out.
I write more than just these but you got to check out my blog.
One day I will write novels but there is this one particular plot embedded in my brain which I would call my ultimate goal. It is quite brilliant but I cannot spoil it... I really want to tell everything though!
Feel free to contact me or follow me.
